  KATARA CAMP

Katara Camp, located on the banks of the Klaserie River has accommodation for 14 guests in beautifully decorated stone thatched chalets. The central lodge with lounge, bar, pool, boma and viewing deck overlooks the Klaserie River. The riverine vegetation, the sound of water running through the reeds in front of the camp and the views up and down stream from the camp makes for a truly relaxing bushveld destination.

AT A GLANCE

  • Accommodation in six double chalets
  • En-suite bathroom
  • Expansive entertainment area
  • Bar
  • Boma

Accommodation: - Four of the six double chalets are situated snugly on the riverbank, each with a magnificent view of the river from the room, en-suite bathroom windows and private balcony. The bathrooms are luxuriously fitted, each with bath, shower, and toilet. Two double chalets are set higher up, overlooking the riverbed, accommodation with full en-suite bathrooms and private outside showers. The expansive entertainment area consists of an indoor lounge and outdoor lounge bar from where one would step onto the front deck that leans over the river edge. Above and below the bar, one would respectively lead up onto the deck and dining area that majestically guards over the river, and down into the boma for warm African starlit evenings.

Activities: - Safaris within this untamed region of the Greater Kruger National Park focus on the bush and its ecosystems, with the added excitement of getting involved in the tracking of Africa's big game. The rangers have taken great time to develop their safari to ensure that you come away with a better understanding of this very special environment. Open vehicle game drives, walks, tracking, star-gazing, bush dining, birding, botany.

Regret no children under 12 years of age.
